John J. Hubert1912-2014WILBRAHAM- John J. Hubert, 102, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, May 7, 2014 at home. He was born in Lowell, MA on January 12, 1912, a son of the late Ledger and Anna (Martin) Hubert. John retired from Western Massachusetts Electric Company after 25 years of service and also retired from the Boston/Albany Rail Road after 27 years of service. He liked Cadillac automobiles, fine clothes, and dining out. John was an avid fan of the New York Yankees and WWE Wrestling. He also enjoyed meeting with his friends from Western Massachusetts Electric every month. John was predeceased by his wife, Rosealma "Rose" V. (Corriveau) Hubert on March 23, 1989; four brothers, William, Raymond, Russell, and Francis Hubert; and four sisters, Ora Payette, Jeannette Coty, Barbara Green, and Cora Dumaine. He is survived by his companion, Estelle St. Marie and her family of Dracut, MA; several brothers and sisters in law, and several nieces, nephews, and close friends.  A funeral home service will be held on Monday, May 12th at 11 a.m. at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., both in Indian Orchard. Visitation will precede the services from 10-11 a.m. at the funeral home. A special thank you to Baystate Hospice and his caretakers from Caring Solutions for the love, compassion and wonderful care they gave John.
