John Joseph Michaud-Machado

John J. Michaud-Machado 1982-2008   John Joseph Michaud-Machado, 26, of Springfield passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2008 at home.  Born in Springfield and a life-long resident he was the son of Darlene (Moodie) Michaud and Claude J. Michaud. John was a graduate of Springfield's High School of Science & Technology and of Springfield Technical Community College.  John was employed as a media manager for WWLP TV 22 of Chicopee.  He had also worked as a camera operator for WGGB TV 40 of Springfield.  John was an enthusiastic person who loved life, his family and friends. He had the special ability to create a smile on ones face and making everyone he met happy.  He was a gifted artist and linguist and was fluent in five languages.  He had high hopes to travel the world. John was a member of the Christian Life Center of Springfield and was also a volunteer at Baystate Medical Center. John leaves his mother, Darleen Moodie-Michaud of Springfield; his father, Claude J. Michaud of Westfield; his step-father, Miguel Nieves of Springfield; a sister, Dargus Marie Moodie of West Springfield; a step-sister, Lila DiGriggio of Springfield and many uncles, aunts, cousins and extended family members. Calling hours for John will be held on Thursday, August 28, 2008 in the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard from 4 to 8 p.m. A funeral procession will form at the Ratell Funeral Home on Friday August 29, 2008 at 9:45 a.m. to be followed by services in the Christian Life Center 1590 Sumner Ave., Springfield at 11 a.m.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
