Joyce L. Lamontagne1941-2015Indian Orchard- Joyce L. (Mason) Lamontagne, entered into eternal rest on May 27, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center after a courageous six year battle with cancer. Born November 8, 1941 on the family farm in Albany, VT, she was the oldest child of the late Percy M. and Eva L. (Brow) Mason. Joyce attended school in Northumberland, NH. On November 14, 1959 she married her loving husband of 43 years, Albert J. Lamontagne, who passed in 2002. They moved to MA finally settling in Indian Orchard. They lived for a number of years in Ocala, FL where Joyce was right at home in the hot summer weather. Joyce was an avid reader, loved to cook, and enjoyed country western music and created the "Brows cousin list". She loved her family dearly and they were the mainstay of her life. Along with her husband, Joyce was predeceased by her son, John E. Lamontagne, in 1983. She leaves her two children, Karen M. Mellen and her husband John of Agawam, and David J. Lamontagne of Indian Orchard; her granddaughter Cindy DeGray and her husband Bobby; her siblings, Armand and Paul Mason, and Marlyn Neary; several nieces and nephews; close friends, Jeff and Claire Geoffrey; God children, cousins, five aunts, one uncle. She had friends in all of the places she lived and worked who will miss her dearly. Calling hours will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2015 from 9a-10:30a at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, with a funeral home service at 10:30a. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave, Indian Orchard.
