Julia Albuquerque                                                          1930-2011 LUDLOW- Julia Albuquerque, 81, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 15, 2011 at home. She was born in Palmer on July 2, 1930, a daughter of the late Anthony and Victoria (Slowick) Lafskina. Julia retired from Bradlees Department Store after 30 years of service. She was a communicant of St. Jude Church, Indian Orchard. Besides her parents, Julia was predeceased by her husband, Anthony Albuquerque in 1982; two brothers, Anthony and Joseph Foschini; five sisters, Mary Picard Gaudreau, Helen Kostrzeba, Rose Martowski, Clara Picard, and Bernice Hecment. She is survived by a sister-in-law, Bertha Foschini of Palmer; a best friend, Pat Skowronek of Ludlow; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held TODAY, Wednesday, August 17th beginning at 10 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 221 Main St., with Rites of Committal to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., all in Indian Orchard. Visitation will precede the services TODAY, Wednesday, at the funeral home from 9-10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Julia's memory to a charity of one's choice.
