SPRINGFIELD-Justina (Tina) M. Martins, 60, of Springfield passed away unexpectedly at Baystate Medical in Springfield after a brief illness. Justina was born in Springfield, a daughter of the late Vincente & Barbara A. (Moquin) Martins. She was raised and educated in Springfield and was a graduate of Commerce High School. She worked for several years at HB Smith Boiler Company in Westfield before retiring due to her health. Even with her health issues, Tina took care of both her parents for many years, tending to their needs so they enjoyed the quality of life they deserved as they aged. Tina loved crafting and especially making quilts. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially holidays, birthdays, and get-togethers. She loved all her nieces and nephews and was the caregiver and that “one great aunt” especially to Kayla A. Martins and Anthony M. Martins whom she helped raise, care for and loved very much. She leaves Kayla and Anthony of Springfield. Her siblings; Thomas & Susan Martins of Ludlow, Mark & Jane Martins of Ludlow, Matthew & Maria Martins of Springfield and William & Donna Martins of Palm Bay, FLA. and her absolute best friend Donna Casey of Ludlow and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Aug. 9, 2023, at Ratell Funeral & Cremation Center, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard from 9:00 to 11:00 A.M. A Religious service will be held at 11:00 A.M. and interment of her ashes will be private in St. Aloysius Cemetery with her parents at a later date. Donations may be made to the Anthony M.
