Leo P. Gagne1919-2012SPRINGFIELD- Leo "Lee" P. Gagne, 93, a lifelong Springfield resident, entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 5, 2012. He was born in Springfield on February 24, 1919, the son of the late Charles and Rose (Therrien) Gagne. Lee graduated from the former Springfield Trade High School and retired from Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company after 15 years of service. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran obtaining the rank of Seaman First Class. Lee was a communicant of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, Springfield. A gun enthusiast, Lee was a member of the Ludlow Gun Club. Lee was predeceased by his wife, Alice M. (Tetreault) Gagne; a brother, Francis Gagne; and three sisters, Yvonne Gonyea, Aurelia Flathers, and Beatrice Gagne. He is survived by two sisters, Theresa Gauthier of Eureka, MO, and Eleanor Korovae and her husband Edward of Springfield. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 9th beginning at 10 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 417 Boston Rd., Springfield. Rites of Committal and burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, section N, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard.
