Leo Tarpinian

Leo Tarpinian 1926-2012 EAST LONGMEADOW - Leo Tarpinian, 86, of East Longmeadow passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Hartford Hospital. Born in Springfield on June 6, 1926, he was the son of the late Oksan and Baydzer (Agopian) Tarpinian. Leo lived in Indian Orchard for 23 years before moving to East Longmeadow where he has resided for the past 57 years. He was a 1944 graduate of Springfield Technical High School and was a private first class in the army during WWII.  Leo was currently employed at Rick's Auto Body, where he worked for 32 years as a service representative. He was a member of the Shawmut Masonic Lodge in Indian Orchard, was an avid golfer, and loved his family very much. Leo leaves his wife of 64 years, Lucy (Setian) Tarpinian; one son, Gary L. Tarpinian and his wife Paninee Theeranunawat of LA; two daughters, Mari Tarpinian and her husband Raymond "Rick" Recor of Wilbraham, and Susan Tarpinian of East Longmeadow; one brother Harry Tarpinian of Granby, and one granddaughter Ariana Tarpinian of East Longmeadow. He was predeceased by his sister Anna Hamasian in 2003. The services are private and at the convenience of the family.
