Lewis J. Roy1919-2013SPRINGFIELD- Lewis "Lou" J. Roy, 94, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. He was born in Derby Center, VT, on February 1, 1919, a son of the late Regis and Melanie Roy. Lewis was a WWII Army veteran. He was a communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church. Lewis was predeceased by his wife, Phyllis A. (Touchette) Roy. He is survived by a son, Edward L. Roy and his wife Karen of Indian Orchard; three daughters, Gloria Frost of Derry, NH, Suzanne Jones of Hyde Park, VT, and April A. Auclair and her husband Ron of Springfield; ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 26th beginning at 11 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 12 noon in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St., Springfield. Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., Indian Orchard. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, April 25th from 4-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
