Linda M. Croteau1950-2015SPRINGFIELD- Linda M. (Record) Croteau, 64, entered into eternal rest on Monday, June 8, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born in Springfield on October 23, 1950, a daughter of the late Raymond and Phyllis (DeBlois) Record. Linda attended Springfield Schools and was a communicant of St. Jude Parish and the former St. Aloysius Church. She retired from Mercy Medical Center as a Respiratory Therapist. Linda was the co-founder of the Make-A-Wish Foundation. She loved living on the lake, boating, and animals, especially her dogs. Linda is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 47 years, Lawrence L. Croteau, whom she married on November 25, 1967; a son, Jeffrey L. Croteau and his wife Kim of Springfield; a daughter, Lisa M. Kervian and her companion Mark Gherardi of Chicopee; two sisters, Patricia Pellerin and her husband Ronald of Springfield, and Karen Gazaille of North Adams; four grandchildren, Edouard, Alyssa, Stephanie, and Jeffrey Jr.; two great granddaughters, Michele and Aubrianna; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Linda was predeceased by a daughter, Melissa "Missy" Croteau on June 21, 1986; and a sister, Dianne Fitzpatrick. Funeral services will assemble on Friday, June 12th at 8:45 a.m. with services beginning at 9 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church (O.L.S.H) 417 Boston Rd. Springfield. Rites of Committal and burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave. Indian Orchard. Linda's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Thursday, June 11th from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
