Lois Olga Ptaszkiewicz

Lois Olga (Johnson) Ptaszkiewicz of Wilbraham, age 78, passed away on September 8, 2025. She was born in Ludlow on April 1, 1947, to her late parents, Roland and Etta (Ford) Johnson. Lois was a lifelong resident of Indian Orchard. In 1969 she married the love of her life, Thomas S. Ptaszkiewicz Sr. and they remained married until his passing in 2004. Together, they raised their family which was always Lois’ primary focus and source of joy. She loved her children and grandchildren and was fiercely devoted to them all; her heart was always with her family. Lois enjoyed knitting, going to the beach, and watching the Red Sox games. She was a hard worker all her life. Over the years, Lois worked as a waitress at many restaurants in Springfield. She ultimately retired from the dining department at Loomis Lakeside at Reeds Landing. Lois loved God and would often talk about how much she loved her phone call Bible studies she used to have with her grandson, Daryl. She will be remembered with a piece of chocolate and a Diet Coke in hand.

Lois leaves behind her three children: Pam Winters of Chicago, IL, Thomas Ptaszkiewicz Jr and his wife Kim of Somers, CT, and Lori Rock and her husband Rich of West Springfield; her grandchildren: Danielle Winters, Daryl Winters, Michael Ptaszkiewicz, Karli Ptaszkiewicz, Joshua Newson, Jovan Newson, and Desirae Darmand; and her great grandchildren: Alana Newson, Judah Newson, Oliver Winters, Sage Newson, and Aria Newson.
