CHICOPEE- Lorraine L. Bouchard, 82, a very loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 21, 2011 in Baystate Medical Center, Springfield. A resident of Chicopee and a former longtime resident of Indian Orchard, she was born in Ludlow on January 14, 1929 a daughter of the late George and Leah (Marlow) Bedard. Lorraine was communicant of St. Jude Church, Indian Orchard. She retired in 1991 after 32 years of service from Inter State Uniform Company. Lorraine was a terrific candlepin bowler and enjoyed bingo. She received the most enjoyment when she was spending time with her family. Lorraine is survived by her husband of 58 years, Robert L. Bouchard; two sons, Leo M. Bouchard and his wife Jean Ann of N. Ft. Myers, FL, and Michael A. Bouchard and his wife Diane of Ludlow; four grandchildren, Jennifer, Sean and Rory Bouchard, and Julie Lyons; a great-granddaughter, Olivia Lyons; two sisters, Jean Fontaine of Springfield and Lucille Ramanyche of East Lyme, CT; and several nieces, nephews and close friends. She was predeceased by two brothers, Albert and Donald Bedard. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24th beginning at 9 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., with a Liturgy of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Main St., with Rites of Committal and burial to follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave., all in Indian Orchard. Lorraine's family will receive relatives and friends at the gathering on Monday, May 23rd from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Lorraine's memory to a charity of one's choice.
