Louis O. Dumaine

Louis O. Dumaine 1912-2009   Louis O. Dumaine, 96, of Ludlow was called safely home in the loving presence of his family on Sunday, January 4, 2009.  Born in Wilbraham and a resident of Ludlow, he was the son of the late John Baptist and Delima (Duhamele) Dumaine.  Louis was a retired production control manager for the former American Bosch. In his younger years he was an avid fisherman.  He was a communicant of St. John the Baptist Church in Ludlow and was the last survivor of the first graduating class of St. John the Baptist School in 1924. Louis was predeceased by his wife, Annette C. (Belisle) Dumaine in 2001.  He leaves his son, Richard L. Dumaine of Spencer; his daughter, Doreen Ann Dumaine of Ludlow; two grandchildren, Thomas Dumaine of California, KY; Robert Dumaine of Orlando. FL and four grandchildren; Jennie, Anne Marie, Lauren, and Michael.  Funeral services will be on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. John the Baptist Church, Ludlow at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery, Ludlow.  A calling will be held on Wednesday prior to the funeral from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John the Baptist Pastoral Care Center 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA  01056.  For Guest Book & Directions visit; www.ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
