Margaret J. Goodwin 1928-2009   Margaret Jeanette (Rattelle) Goodwin, 81, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Wednesday, September 9, 2009 in the loving presence of her family.  Born in Springfield and a life long resident of the Indian Orchard section she was the daughter of the late Albert E. and Margaret M. (Shea) Rattelle.  Margaret was a loving wife, mother and grandmother whose priority in life was her family.  She was a retired cafeteria worker for the Springfield School Department.  She was a communicant of the former St. Matthew's Church and was a member and past president of the American Legion Post # 277 Women's Auxiliary of Indian Orchard. Margaret was predeceased by her husband George R. Goodwin in 1995 and by a grandson Gregory Pappas.  She is survived by her son Mark C. Goodwin and wife Debra of Chicopee, Debra Pappas and husband James of Portland, OR, Dawn Coppola of Springfield; four grandchildren, Jennifer Pappas, Kimberly Pappas, Timothy Langford, Brittany Woods and a great grandson Anthony Charles Baez.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2009 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church 221 Main St., Indian Orchard at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in the Massachusetts National Cemetery Bourne, MA.  Calling hours will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009 from 4 to 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Willimansett West Activities Fund 546 Chicopee St., Chicopee, MA  01013.  For Guest Book: ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
