Marguerite A. Brodeur-Stone

Marguerite A. Brodeur-Stone 1955-2013 Springfield - Marguerite "Maggie"  A. (Corkins) Brodeur-Stone LICSW, LADC1, 57, of Indian Orchard, passed away Friday, October 25, 2013 at home. She was born in Ludlow on December 23, 1955 to Ruth M. (Allen) Corkins and the late Linus W. Corkins. Maggie was very proud of her education, receiving her Master's degree from Springfield College and worked as a social worker for Valley Psychiatric and River Valley.  Her family was her life, and she was a loving person who touched the lives of so many people.  Maggie will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends. Besides her mother she is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, John J. Stone; her two daughters, Sarah Felsentreger and her husband Kyle of Westfield,  and Alison Sprague and her husband Gary of Beverly Hills, FL; step-daughter, Heidi Brodeur of Springfield; four brothers, Paul Contois and his wife Joyce of Springfield, Bruce Contois of CT, James Contois and his wife Katie of MN, and John Corkins and his wife Marion of Springfield; two sisters, Anne Gelinas and her husband Edgar of Westfield, and Kathi Bruschi and her husband Pete of Ludlow; four grandchildren, Giana Nelson, Alex Sprague, Skye and Braden Felsentreger; and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Beth Martin in 2011. Calling hours will be held Monday, October 28, 2013 at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard, from 4-8pm with a funeral home service at 7pm. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
