Maria G. Quadros

Maria G. Quadros 1929-2009   Maria G. Quadros, 80, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2009 in Baystate Medical Center.  Born in Angra da Heriesmo, Azores and a resident of Indian Orchard for the past (30) years, she was the daughter of the late Francisco Silvera Quadros and Felismena da Gloria.  Maria was a loving wife and mother who took great care and pride in her family and home.  She loved to sew and was a communicant of St. Jude Church in Indian Orchard.  Maria was predeceased by her husband, Antonio Pereira-Gil who passed in 1980.  She leaves to cherish her memory two sons, Edmundo Gil of Indian Orchard, John Gil and wife Natalie of Ludlow; two daughters, Mafalda Casimiro and husband Silvino Casimiro  and Maria da Silva and husband Fernando Silva all of Indian Orchard; two sisters, Maria Olivera and husband Edmundo of Ludlow, Celeste Melo of Watsonville, CA; nine grandchildren, five great granddaughters; two nieces and three nephews.  Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 16, 2009 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Church at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
