Marietta Clara Spazioso

Marietta C. Spazioso 1921 - 2010   Pittsfield - Mrs. Marietta C. (Voci) Spazioso, 89, passed away on Tuesday, March 30 at Hillcrest Commons.  Formerly of Ludlow, she resided in Pittsfield since 1986.  She was born in Rome, NY on February 18, 1921, a daughter of the late Ralph and Catherine (Verano) Voci. She attended Pittsfield schools and was a Communicant of the former Mt. Carmel Church.  She was the wife of the late Carmen Spazioso, who died June 4, 1986.  She is survived by two daughters, Karen Cowell and her husband Donald of Pittsfield, and Laura Blanchard and her husband Raymond of Midlothian, VA.  She also leaves her sister, Mary Paquette of Pittsfield.  She will be sadly missed by two grandchildren, Ellen Huntington and David Blanchard, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Marcia Strempek in 1999, two brothers, Sammy Vincent and Gregory Voci, two sisters, Antoinette Voci, and Sister Tarcisius, SSJ. FUNERAL NOTICE:  Funeral services are on Wednesday, April 7 from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. in the Indian Orchard section of Springfield with a calling hour from 8 to 9am followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St. in Springfield.  Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
