Mary Agnes Raymond

Mary A. Raymond 1919-2010   INDIAN ORCHARD - Mary Agnes (Scanlon) Raymond, 90, of Indian Orchard, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 26, 2010.  Born in Springfield and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late James and Florence (Decorie) Scanlon. Mary was a graduate of Springfield's Cathedral High School.  She was employed for several years at Package Machinery in East Longmeadow.  She had also worked for the Springfield Newspapers and Heatbath Corp. of Indian Orchard.  Mary was a communicant of St. Jude Mission Church of Indian Orchard and was a member of the Pine Point Golden Age Club.  Mary was predeceased by her husband Roger L. Raymond who passed in 1999.  She leaves her sons; James Raymond and his dear companion Claire Lopez of Monson, Roger Raymond of Northampton; her seven grandchildren, Alicia, Kelly, Lisette, Patrick, Stephanie, Christopher, and David and her former daughter-in-law Jean Raymond of Wells, ME.  Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m. followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in St. Jude Mission Church at 10 a.m.  Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.  Calling hours will be held at the Ratell Funeral Home on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 4 - 7 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Baystate VNA & Hospice c/o Baystate Health Foundation, 280 Chestnut St., Springfield, MA  01104.  For Guest Book: ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
