Mary Shlosser

January 15, 1934 — June 29, 2021

Mary (Braese) Shlosser, 87, of Anderson Rd. in Ware passed away at her home on Tuesday, June 29, 2021. Mary was born in Springfield, a daughter of the late Richard E. and Eshter B. (Loveland) Braese. She was raised and educated in Springfield and attended local schools. Mary worked Alamac Knitting Mills in her younger years and then US Envelope in Springfield before retiring.  Mary was married to Albert Shlosser and they lived in Springfield and then later moving to Ware to raise their family. Mary enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She was very handy at sewing and enjoyed making homemade craft flags that many friends and family flew at their homes.  She was a communicant of Our Lady of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Her beloved husband of 68 years, Albert P. Shlosser Jr. passed away on February 13, 2021. Mary leaves her children; Albert P. Shlosser III and his wife Carol, Mark R. Shlosser, Paula (Shlosser) Guyette and Barbara (Shlosser) Callahan. Seven grandchildren; Holly, Marissa, Albert, Danny, Mark and Jeremy Shlosser and Travis Callahan and eight great grandchildren; Rachel Shlosser, Nathan, Gavin and Parker Shlosser, Charlotte and Olivia Callahan, Gabriella and Christopher Carroll  and many nieces and nephews.



The family invites you to join them for calling hours on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. Indian Orchard. A funeral home service will be held at 11:00 A.M. followed by burial honors in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St. Springfield. Donations in Mary's memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy Association, 33 Lyman St # 205, Westborough, MA 01581 or the American Red Cross, 150 Brookdale Drive Springfield, MA 01104.
