Michael J. Yankowski      1958-2009 SPRINGFIELD- Michael "Mikey" J. Yankowski, 50, a life long Springfield resident, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, June 28, 2009 in Baystate Medical Center. He was born in Springfield on August 30, 1958 a son of the late John J. and Doris (Wick) Yankowski. Michael is survived by six siblings, Peter Yankowski and his wife Maryann of Rutland, VT, Christine Nugent of Chicopee, James B. Yankowski of Pinellas Park, FL, Richard S. Yankowski and his wife Marcia of Stonington, CT, Patricia Marotte and her husband Matthew of Rogers, AK, and his twin brother, Robert J. Yankowski and his wife Charlene of Chicopee; many adored nieces and nephews; two great nieces; one great nephew; and many loving friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday July 2nd beginning at 8:30 a.m. from the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, Chestnut St., Springfield, with Rites of Committal and burial at 12:30 p.m. in Wildwood Cemetery, West St., Gardner, MA. Visitation will precede the services on Thursday from 8-8:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
