Raymond Joseph Lavine

ALBEMARLE, NORTH CAROLINA ~ Raymond J. Lavine, 88, of Woodhurst Lane in Albemarle, NC passed on to his Heavenly life on Saturday September 16, 2017 with his family at his side. He was born in Springfield 88 years ago on March 19, 1929. He resided in Springfield for many years, attending local schools and joining the US Navy Air Corps. After being honorably discharged, Ray worked as a Plant Manager in the textiles industry for many years before his retirement. His beloved wife of 50 years, Frances (Recor) Lavine passed away on October 23, 2012. Ray leaves his sons; Douglas of Columbia, CT. and Raymond of Warren, Mass.,  brother, Gerald Lavine of Greenfield and a grandson. The Rite of Catholic Committal was held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard with Fr. Michael Twohig, officiant.
