Rene F. Talbot1930-2015Ludlow- Rene F. Talbot, 85, of Ludlow passed away Monday, June 22, 2015 at Wingate at Wilbraham. Born in Ludlow on June 21, 1930 he was the son of the late Alphee J. and Lucienne (Fontaine) Talbot. Rene was a graduate of Cathedral High School and worked as an accountant for Sullivan Electrical Company and Alton E. Gleason Company for 18 years retiring in 1992. Most recently, he worked part time at the Springfield YMCA. Rene served in the US Navy during Korean War obtaining the rank SHSN. He was a member of the American Legion post 275 in Chicopee and Knights of Columbus 3535 in Ludlow. Rene was a part of Dan Kane Singers and also Chalkliners Theatrical Group in Springfield. HE was a devoted uncle and will truly be missed. Rene leaves his nephew, Brian Holt of Springfield; his niece Lori Striplin, of Ware; his brother-in-law, Roger Holt; and his great-niece, Brianna Holt. A liturgy of Christian burial will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 at 11:30am directly at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 1023 Parker St, Springfield with Rites of Committal to follow at 2pm in the Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 1390 Main St, Agawam. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 28th from 5-7pm at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard.
