Richard V. Witherell

SPRINGFIELD- Richard V. Witherell, 76, of Page Boulevard passed away peacefully on Sunday October 7, 2018 with the quiet din of the crowd cheering for his beloved Red Sox, bound for the World Series. He was born in Northampton on November 6, 1941 the son of the late Clinton & Grace (Weeks) Witherell. "Rich" as his family and friends called him was a longtime Springfield resident and had worked for many years at Westvaco Manufacturing. He leaves his beloved wife; Andrea (Houle) Witherell and his children; Richard V. Witherell, Donna Chatham and Lorie LePage and two grandchildren; Nathan and Tyler and two great grandchildren; Aubrie and Kylie as well as the extended members of the Witherell and Houle families. At Rich's request all services will be private and his cremation service shave been entrusted to Ratell Funeral Home, Indian Orchard.
