Ronald A. Stenberg1943-2015Indian Orchard- Ronald A. Stenberg, 71, of Indian Orchard, passed away Sunday, March 22, 2015 at home surrounded by his family. Born in Springfield on May 22, 1943, he was a son of the late Nils and Henrietta (Green) Stenberg. Ronald served as private in the U.S. Army during Vietnam War and worked as a van driver for the Jewish Community Center. Ronald was a collector of die-cast cars and enjoyed the beach and lighthouses. He leaves his loving wife of 51 years, Linda (Galway) Stenberg; his daughter Lisa Oppenheimer and her wife Jill Landis of Easthampton; his brother Stanley Stenberg; two sisters, Ruth Verteramo and her husband Paul, and Joyce Macri and her husband Al; and his five grandchildren who he enjoyed spending time with, Lyndsey and Briana Oppenheimer, and April, Adrian, and Avery Landis. A funeral home service will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 12p at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 10a-12p.
