Samuel Riley 1913-2010 STATESVILLE, NC- Samuel Riley, 96, of Cornelius, NC, died July 23, 2010 at the Clare Bridge Nursing Home in Statesville, NC. He was born on August 21, 1913 in Springfield to the late John and Katherine Riley. Survivors include his daughter Carol Roper and her husband Uwe of Cornelius, NC; grandchildren Michael and Stephen Adamczyk and 6 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Catherine Martin Riley and grandson Peter. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 27th at 11 a.m. in Orchard Covenant Church, 95 Berkshire St., Indian Orchard. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St., Springfield. Memorial contributions may be made in Samuel's memory to Hospice of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd., Statesville, NC 28265.
