Sandra G Hanson (Goodrow)

Sandra Gail (Goodrow) Hanson, 80, passed away unexpectedly with her family by her side on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. She was born on December 6,1942 in Ludlow and was the daughter of the late Ovela W. Goodrow and Pauline M. (Grenier) Goodrow. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother, who loved playing her daily numbers and scratch tickets. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo, shopping, the beach and most of all taking care of her beloved dog Hannah. She is so loved and will be greatly missed. Sandra is survived by her husband of thirty-one years, Dennis J. Costa. She is survived by her children, Robert L. Hanson, and his fiancé Gayle Racine of Holyoke, Tina M. Chandler-Redfern and her husband Brian Redfern of Easthampton, her stepchildren Danielle Figoni and her husband Chris of NY and Allison Gomes and her husband Dennis of Ludlow. She also leaves her dear grandchildren, Chaz Hanson of Virginia, Chelcy Brooks and her husband Chris of CT, Nina Gomes and Ryan Gomes of Ludlow, Alex Figoni and Natalia Figoni of NY, Desirae Redfern of Easthampton and great granddaughter Destinie of CT. Her siblings, Ronald Goodrow and wife Sue of SC, and sister-in law Maureen Goodrow of Chicopee. She is also predeceased by her two brothers Carl Goodrow and William Goodrow. The family wishes to thank the caring ICU team at Baystate Medical Center. A private celebration of life will be held for her family.
