EAST SPRINGFIELD-Sandra Dee Swenor, 62, of Windermere Street passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, November 15, 2023. Sandra was full of life and a force to be reckoned with. She was a lifelong resident of the city, growing up in Sixteen Acres and attending local schools. She graduated from Springfield Technical High School. Sandra worked for Save-A-Lot as a Manager for many years and had previously worked for Pride as a manager and Plastic Packaging in West Springfield. Sandra enjoyed playing pool with friends. She was an avid Elvis fan and collector of memorabilia. She picked up a guitar when she was 14 and has played ever since. She loved her family, holiday gatherings and especially Christmas. Her home was always the center of holidays, and she enjoyed cooking for everyone. She leaves a large and cherished family, her loving mother Judith Gallagher and her late father, Louis Swenor. Her siblings; Shari Malmborg and husband Robert, Katherine Goyer and husband David, Loretta Enos and her late husband Thomas, Corina Forcier and husband Gerald, Cindy Stellato and husband Jimmy and Elke Schwartz and husband Robert. She also leaves her former wife and dear friend, Ann (Cichowski) Swenor and her lifelong partner and friend, Dennis Nason, her beloved Golden Retriever “Snuggle Bear Swenor”, two stepchildren, five grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, godchildren and so many dear friends and extended family. There are no calling hours, Sandra would want you to remember her as always smiling and ready to help anyone. A CELEBRATION OF SANDRA’S LIFE WILL BE HELD ON SUNDAY, JANUARY 21, 2024 BEGINNING AT 2:00 P.M. AT THE CHICOPEE AMERICAN LEGION, POST 452, 43 EXCHANGE ST., CHICOPEE.
