Shirley M. Erickson

Shirley M. Erickson 1925-2014 Springfield- Shirley M. (Lawery) Erickson, 88, a former employee of William Carter Co and STCC Library, died on Friday, June 27, 2014 at Palmer Healthcare Center. A lifelong resident of Springfield, she graduated from Commerce High School in 1943. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Bernard F. Erickson, on December 30, 2002. She is survived by her daughter, Marsha Bergeron and her husband Ernie of Royal Palm Beach, FL; three sons, Ronald and his wife Marie of Jay, ME, James of Springfield, and Thomas of Blissfield, MI; two sisters, Betty Kendrick of East Longmeadow, and Barbara Close of MD; ten grandchildren, Chelsy, Samantha, Michael, Sandra, Jamie, Justin, Denise, Christine, Tommy, and Mindi; and 9 great grandchildren. Along with her husband, Shirley was predeceased by her son Bernard W. Erickson and her grandson Ryan. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jessica and the caregivers at Palmer Healthcare Center who gave Shirley comfort and care. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2014 at 10:45am in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St, Springfield.
