Stanley J. Kokosa 1914-2008 Stanley Joseph Kokosa, 93, of Ludlow, entered eternal peace on Tuesday, July 8, 2008. A long time Ludlow resident, Stanley was predeceased by his wonderful wife Frances. Together in 1949, they built and operated Stan & Fran's Service Station, located on Page Blvd. in Springfield. Stanley proudly served his country during World War II. A decorated Army veteran, he served with the 112th Infantry Regiment in Central Europe. Stanley will be best remembered as an avid fisherman, enjoying summers on Ashmere Lake, the Berkshires and winters in Ocala and Long Key, FL. He leaves his sons, Michael, James and John; daughters-in-law Carol, Jackie and Sharon. Stanley will be lovingly remembered by grandchildren Michael, Mark, Christopher, Joann and Carrie. His many stories will be passed on to great grandchildren Kyle, Colin, Kelsey, Joshua, Jessie, Victoria, Colby and Grace Frances. Stanley will be forever loved and missed. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main Street, Indian Orchard at 11:30 a.m. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Springfield. A visiting hour will precede services beginning at 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
