Stella Mary Bergeron

SPRINGFIELD- Stella Mary (Fierlit) Bergeron age 95 passed away on April 18, 2011 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, MA.  She was born in Ludlow, MA on August 5, 1915 to Jan and Katarzyna (Gasiorek) Fierlit and lived most of her life in Springfield.  She retired from Standard Photo - 3M Corporation in 1985 and became an avid Red Sox fan.  Stella was pre-deceased by her husband Philip Bergeron in 1972, her sister Amelia Forkey and her brother Walter Fierlit.  She leaves behind her only child, her daughter Janet Mae Chaconas and her husband Greg of Wilbraham, MA, her cherished grand-daughter Bonnie Mae Serino and her husband Carmine and her delightful great-grand-daughter Carmela Mae Serino all of Scottsdale, AZ.  She also leaves her dear sister Mary Wrona of Wilbraham and several nieces and nephews.  Stella also sadly leaves behind her extended family, the caring staff at Wingate at Hampden, each and every one, especially Laura Cote with whom she formed an instant bond; and all of her new friends that she made during her time at Wingate.  At Stella's request, services were private.
