Stella A. Strycharz

Stella A. Strycharz 1924 - 2008   Stella A. (Piontkowski) Strycharz, 84, of Indian Orchard was called home to God on Sunday, November 2, 2008. Born in Ware, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Catherine (Woszczyna) Piontkowski and was a resident of Indian Orchard for most of her life. Stella was employed for many years at the former Alamac Mills. She had also worked at Cornet Cosmetics, Glendale Plastics and the former Springfield Municipal Hospital from where she retired. Stella was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church of Indian Orchard.  Stella's passions in life were her family, shopping and gardening.  She loved to watch and feed the birds and loved her house pets.  Her beautiful hazel eyes and sweet smile will be sadly missed by all who knew her.  Stella was predeceased by her beloved husband Gifford in 1973. She is survived by her sons, Stanley Strycharz and Chester Strycharz both of Indian Orchard and Eugene Strycharz and his wife Barbara of Springfield. She leaves her sister, Mona Piontowski and brother, Francis Piontkowski, her sister in-law, Nancy Piontkowski all of Ware as well as many nieces and nephews.  Stella's family wishes to thank the many friends for their love, support and prayers.  Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
