Stephanie Anna Nowak

Stephanie Nowak 1921-2009   Stephanie Anna (Socha) Nowak, 87, of Indian Orchard, passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2009 peacefully at home with her family.  Born in Springfield and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anna (Zemanek) Socha. Stephanie was a graduate of Springfield Technical High School and the Rittner's School of Flower Design in Boston. She was employed in this field for many years with various area flower shops.  Stephanie was one of the original owners of the Nowak Funeral Home of Indian Orchard.  She was a member of the Polonia Club of Indian Orchard and enjoyed traveling.  Stephanie was predeceased by her husband Stanley J. Nowak in 1969 and by her son Peter Nowak in 2000.  She leaves her sons, Stefan Nowak of Feltwell, Norfolk, England; Stanley J. Nowak, II and his wife Lorraine of Mattituck, Long Island, NY; Frank J. Nowak of Indian Orchard; two brothers, Mitchell Socha of Monson, Stanley Socha of Wilbraham and a grandson, Isaiah Nowak.  Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard at 9 a.m.  Burial will be in St. Aloysius Cemetery, Indian Orchard.
