Suzanne Hagopian 1922-2010 INDIAN ORCHARD Suzanne Shoushanig Hagopian, 88 of Indian Orchard passed away on Sunday, February 21, 2010. Suzanne was born in Istanbul, Turkey on January 25, 1922 and was the daughter of Eghiche and Serpouhie Elmaassian and wife of John Ichran Hagopian all of whom predeceased her She worked for several years at the former Alamac Mills and the Learner Shops. She was a staunch advocate for the Armenian cause and wanted all to remember the million and a half Armenians massacred by the Terks, some of which were her own family members. She is survived by her two daughters, Marie Mason of Overland Park, KS and Solange Remillard of Indian Orchard; four grandchildren, Adrien Lewis and his wife Cynthia of Overland Park, KS, Nicole Abergel and her husband Klod of Indian Orchard, Alicia Longsworth of Skokie, IL and Natalie Remillard and her fiancée Jimmy Gonzalez of Longmeadow; her precious six great-grandchildren, Andrew, Shanyn Marie, Adora, Malaki, Mason and Isaac who she adored; her sister, Ginette Temerian of West Palm Beach, FL as well as nieces, nephews, cousins in Armenia and France. The family would like to thank all their friends and family for their support. Solange of Red Rose would also like to thank the patrons of Red Rose for their continued concern. Calling hours will be held at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard on Wednesday, February 24, 2010 from 4 to 7 p.m. A Prayer Service for Suzanne will be conducted at the Funeral Home at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
