Theodore J. Kornacki

LUDLOW - Theodore Joseph Kornacki, 71, of Ludlow, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 in the loving presence of his family.  Born in Holyoke and a long time Ludlow resident, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rose (Dolat) Kornacki.  Ted was a retired supervisor for Johnson Foils, now Asten Johnson Corp.  A dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, his family was central to his life. His special joy were his granddaughters Sydney and Eden.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as those special trips to the casinos.  Ted was a communicant of the Community of St. Elizabeth in Ludlow.  He was predeceased by his son, Kevin P. Kornacki who passed in 2003.  He leaves his beloved wife of 44 years, Mary Ellen (Greene) Kornacki; his loving sons, David Kornacki and his wife, Susan of Brimfield, Mark Kornacki and his wife Melanie of Springfield; his dear granddaughters, Sydney and Eden and his sisters, Mary Finn of Chicago, IL, Helen O'Brien of CA, Nina Kornacki and Irene Splaine both of Chicopee.  A special note of thanks to Dr. Kazi and the staff at Mercy Medical Center for their love and care given to Ted.  Funeral services will be held at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard on Monday, April 11, 2011 at 9 a.m., followed by the Liturgy of Christian Burial in the Community of St. Elizabeth in St. John the Baptist Church, Ludlow, at 10 a.m.  Burial will be in Island Pond Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends at a gathering to be held at the Ratell Funeral Home on Sunday, April 10, 2011 from 4 to 7 p.m.  Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Elizabeth Statue Fund 181 Hubbard St., Ludlow, MA  01056.  For Ted's personal webpage visit ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home (413) 543-3836
