Theresa Mengel

Theresa Mengel 1927-2009   Theresa (Terzi) Mengel, 82, of Springfield passed away in the loving presence of her family on Friday October 30, 2009.  Born in Springfield and a life long resident, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret (Gamache) Terzi.  Theresa was formerly employed as an assembler for Smith & Wesson of Springfield. She had also worked the former Dickerman Electronics.  She loved animals, especially her dog Tina and was a frequent contributor to the Springfield MSPCA.  She was an avid bingo player and was a member of the Pine Point Golden Age Club.  Theresa leaves to cherish her memory her son, Richard Mengel and his wife Elizabeth of Springfield, a brother Robert Terzi, Sr., of Ludlow; sisters Marie Compeau of Gridley, CA, Ida Walsh-Robinson of Springfield, Linda Mulvaney and her partner Al Garrett of Palmer; her grandchildren, Richard Mengel, Jr., and his wife Edna, Joseph Mengel and his wife Sandy all of Springfield, William Mengel and his wife Amy of Palmer, Lorraine Caplette and her husband Jim of Three Rivers, James Cross of Morrisville, VT; many great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  Theresa was predeceased by her husband Harold Mengel, a brother Joseph Terzi,  sisters Doris Caplette and Annie Terzi and a grandson Thomas Cross.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the Ratell Funeral Home 200 Main St., Indian Orchard from 5 - 7 p.m.  A Prayer Service will be held at 7 p.m.  Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Thomas J.
