Theresa M. O'Neill

Hampden - Theresa "Terry" Mavis (Lauria) O'Neill, 88, passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at Baystate Medical Center. Born in Springfield to the late Letizio J. and Irene M. (Belville) Lauria, she was a graduate of Commerce High School in Springfield. Throughout her career, Terry was employed in the Cosmetic Department at Steiger's Department Stores. Terry enjoyed her trips to the casino over the years but most importantly she loved her family dearly. She is survived by her two daughters, Linda A. Plumb and her husband Edward J. Plumb of Hampden, MA and Diane Shepard and her husband Barry P. Shepard of Springfield, MA; her sister, Jean McIntosh of Florida; four grandchildren, John Plumb and his wife Christine, Sherri Assad and her husband John, Derek Shepard and his wife Kelly and Scott Shepard and his wife Jamie; four great grandchildren, Jordan, Brendan, Michael and Ryleigh and by two nieces and a nephew. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband, John E. O'Neill in 1973. Family and friends are invited to meet for calling hours on Saturday June 18th from 9 - 11 AM at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St. in Indian Orchard, followed by a service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be held in Island Pond Cemetery in Ludlow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, P.O.
