Thomas G. Newell, 81, of Longmeadow. Passed away peacefully on January 31, 2026. He was born to the late Kenneth and Laura Newell on December 18, 1944, in Ludlow, MA.

Thomas was a member of the United States Navy, as well as a Truck driver until his retirement. It was then that he began volunteering at both Shriners Hospital and Mercy Medical Center, and spent more time on his lifelong hobbies, including fishing, hunting, and woodworking.

Thomas leaves his loving wife Susan (Blanchard) Newell. He also leaves his two sons, Richard and wife Beth, and Kenneth and wife Michelle, both of Westfield, and three grandchildren, Nicole, Taylor, and Steven. He was predeceased by his two sisters, Mary Jean and Kristine Newell.

Services for Thomas will be held at the convenience of the family. Ratell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
