Timothy Shea, 59, of Springfield, passed away on January 14, 2025, surrounded by a loving family after a long battle with illness. Born on May 13, 1965, to George Shea and Gail (Pepin) Johnson, Tim lived his entire life in Springfield and attended Springfield public schools. Tim was an avid outdoorsman who loved landscaping and riding his bike around town, and unbeknownst to many, Tim was a gifted artist, drawing many portraits over the years. Although a private man, Tim was a great son, father, brother, and grandfather who loved his family dearly. Timothy was predeceased by his grandmother Gladys Basile, his father George Shea, and his son Scott White. He leaves behind his loving mother, Gail (Shea) Johnson, and his life partner, Marilyn Marquez. Tim also leaves his three sisters, Sherri and her partner Michael of Springfield, Donna of Chicopee, and Kimberly and her husband Shawn of Springfield. He leaves his three sons, Carlos White, Timothy Shea III, and Timothy John Shea, and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tim was loved by many and will be missed by all who knew him. A graveside service will be held at St. Michael’s Cemetery, 1601 State Street, Springfield, MA on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. A gathering will follow at the American Legion Post 420, 290 East Street, Springfield, MA. Ratell Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.
