Viola C. Vaz

Viola C. Vaz 1921-2015 Indian Orchard- Viola C. (Olearczyk) Vaz, 94, of Indian Orchard, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at Wingate at Wilbraham. Born in Springfield on August 15, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Caroline (Haluck) Olearczyk. Viola worked as a supervisor for Cromwell and Mayfair Mills and retired from Chicopee Comp. High School as a sewing teacher. She enjoyed dancing and reading, and loved to have a good time, especially with her family. Viola leaves her daughter, Beverly J. Aurise, of Indian Orchard; two grandchildren, Tracy D. Aurise and Andrea Burkhard; and four great-grandchildren, Mackensie, Nathaniel, Kylie, and Mikey. She was predeceased by her daughter, Marsha da Silva, and her two brothers, Stanley and Edward Olearczyk.  A calling hour will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 from 10-11am at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St, Indian Orchard with a funeral home service at 11am.  Rites of Committal will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery, 1273 Berkshire Ave, Indian Orchard.
