WESLEY H. BENWARE 1929 - 2008   INDIAN ORCHARD - Wesley H. "Wes" Benware, 78, a forty nine year Indian Orchard resident, died at home on Saturday, June 7th surrounded by his beloved family.  He was born in Owls Head, New York on June 10, 1929, a son of the late Napoleon and Gertrude (Gravel) Benware.  He attended schools in Malone, New York and proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.  He was retired from the former Miller Dairy and Daylight Dairy.  Wes was a member of American Legion Post 277, and former Scoutmaster for Boy Scout troop 461, both of Indian Orchard, and an avid Yankees fan.  He is survived by his beloved wife of fifty seven years, Lorraine (Dupuis) Benware, three sons, Bruce and his wife Edna of Arizona, Bryon and his wife Dottie of Chicopee, and Bryce of South Hadley, two daughters, Barbara LaBier and her husband Michael of Ludlow, and Beverly Noland of Indian Orchard.  He also leaves one brother, James Benware of New York, and two sisters, Valda Perham of Ludlow, and Eleanor Maneeley of New York.  He will be sadly missed by ten grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his brother, Harwood Benware.  The family would like to extend special thanks to Gloria Marshall for her special care and compassion during Wes's illness.  The Funeral procession will form at 9am on Wednesday, June 11 at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10am at St. Jude Church, both in Indian Orchard.  Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery.  Calling hours at the funeral home are Tuesday, June 10 from 4 - 8pm.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to Quaboag Valley Hospice, 42B Wright St., Palmer, MA 01069.  For an online guestbook please visit www.ratellfuneralhome.com Ratell Funeral Home 543-3836
