William S. Latimer

William S. Latimer Jr., 81, of Springfield, MA, passed away on November 1, 2025. A lifetime resident of Springfield, Bill was born to the late William (Sr.) & Rita Latimer on May 27, 1944.

Billy was a U.S. Navy Veteran and worked for many years as a truck driver for various firms including St.Johnsbury, and ValuePAK. He was a former camper at Indian Ranch Campground in Webster, MA and loved NASCAR. He could often be found watching movies on VCR, painting pictures, washing cars for his friends, and listening to oldies music. Always a happy and friendly guy, you could always hear him cracking jokes, or reciting his trucker sayings. 

Billy was predeceased by his wife Mildred, and his two sisters Elizabeth (Richard) Anderson, and Pat LaFromboise. He is survived by his nieces Lynn Anderson, and Joyce Smith, and his nephew Alan LaFromboise. 

Services for Bill will be held at Ratell Funeral Home on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 8:30-9:30 A.M., followed by a procession to Massachusetts Veterans' Memorial Cemetery for 10:00 A.M.

As Billy always said, "Let's get this baby in the wind!"
