SPRINGFIELD ~ Annette A. (Hebert) LaRace, 84, of Undine Circle passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Baystate Medical Center with her family at her side. Annette was born in West Warren on October 6, 1934, a daughter to Emile and Aline (Hamel) Hebert. She was raised in West Springfield and Springfield, attending local schools including the former St. Joseph’s RC Parish School in downtown Springfield. Annette was married in 1953 to Schley LaRace and they settled in Springfield to raise their family. In addition to raising eight children, Annette worked for United Technologies, retiring in 1993. She had also worked for the Buxton Co. in West Springfield for many years. Annette was a devoted Catholic and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Springfield. Annette and Schley were longtime members of the Scantic Senior Bowling League. She also was a very committed member of the Mercy Hospital Cancer Support group. Her beloved husband of 56 years, Schley Conrad LaRace passed away on May 12, 2009. She was also predeceased by a grandson, Glenn LaRace Jr and siblings; Emil, Robert and Denise Hebert.  Annette leaves her eight children, Candace Pepin and her husband Ronald of East Hartford, Schley LaRace, Jr. and his wife Mary of Springfield, Aline Laing and her husband William of Georgia, Terrence LaRace and his wife Theresa of Springfield, Mark LaRace and his wife Tammy of Indian Orchard, Cheryl LaRace of Springfield, Del LaRace of Springfield and Glenn LaRace and his wife Angela of Ludlow; 17 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren. and one great great grandchild She also leaves her sister, Connie Voight and her husband Robert of Ludlow and brother Roland Hebert and his wife Felice of Forestdale and many nieces and nephews and extended members of the LaRace and Hebert families. The family invites you to join them on Saturday, March 2, 2019 for Calling Hours at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard from 9 to 11 a.m. followed by a service at the Funeral Home at 11 a.m. Interment of her ashes will immediately follow the service in St. Michael the Archangel Mausoleum at St. Michaels Cemetery, 1601 State St., Springfield. The family asks that donations be made to the Sister Caritas Cancer Center, Mercy Hospital, 271 Carew St., Spfld, Mass. 01104
