Darlene L. Adams, 71, of Springfield passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Darlene was born in Ludlow, a daughter of the late Armenio “Al” and Stephanie (Baldyga) Alexander. She was raised and educated in Ludlow, attending local schools and graduated from Ludlow High School. Darlene married Gerald R. Adams on April 6, 1974 and they shared many years of love, memories and happiness together. Darlene was a familiar face in Indian Orchard, working as a clerk at the Orchard Variety for a number of years. She had previously worked on Boston Road at Filenes, Steigers and the former Two Guys Department store also. Darlene loved baseball especially her beloved Red Sox. She enjoyed watching classic Western movies and TV shows. Throughout her life, Darlene was an animal lover and had numerous cats & birds as pets (not always at the same time, thankfully!). Darlene leaves her beloved husband of 47 years, Gerald R. Adams. Her loving children; Kara Bryskiewicz and her husband Charles of Chicopee and Gerald Adams Jr. of Springfield. Darlene leaves her devoted siblings; Ronald Alexander and his wife Jenelle, Robert Alexander and his wife Rose and Carol Groffel, all of Ludlow and many nieces and nephews and the extended members of the Adams and Alexander families.
