CHICOPEE- Edward H. Greeno, 61, of Kane Drive in Chicopee passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at home with his wife at his side. Ted, as family and friends called him had spent the day with his beloved wife, Lois, watching football and preparing for the Christmas holidays, a season he especially loved. Ted was born in Pawtucket, RI on June 12, 1958, a son of Henry Greeno of Rhode Island and the late Ruth (Russell) Greeno. He was raised and educated in Rhode Island, attending schools there. Ted worked for the past 17 years with Chemi-Graphics in Ludlow and was still employed upon his unexpected passing. He loved vacationing, campfires and playing cards. You could always find Ted cooking at family and friend gatherings, he enjoyed catering to everyone else. New England Sports teams were another favorite pastime, Patriots, Celtics, the Sox or Bruins, you could be sure he always knew the score. Time spent with his sons golfing was one of the simple pleasures in Ted’s life and he always looked forward to it. Family was everything to Ted and he will be sadly missed by family and friends alike, he loved you all and knew he was loved by all of you. Ted leaves his beloved wife, Lois (Demers) Greeno of Chicopee. His two devoted sons; Joshua and his wife Farrah of Bristol, RI and Ryan and his wife Erika of Naples, Florida. His cherished grandchildren; Austin, Jordan, Matthew, Myles and Ellie. He also leaves his father, Henry Greeno and his companion, Cindy Craige of RI and two sisters; Teresa Shea of Illinois and Roberta “Bobbi” Fenstermacher of Sandwich, MA and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Ruth Greeno, Ted was predeceased by a sister; Patricia Parenteau. Family and friends will gather to remember Ted on Saturday afternoon from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard. Following cremation, Ted’s family will remember him with a simple goodbye at his favorite beach and fishing spot.
