MIDLLEBURY, VT / LUDLOW, MASS.- Eleanore E. Gauthier Lavoie, 93, died on Sunday, June 17, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was the widow of Eugene A. Lavoie, who died in 2014 and the daughter of Hector and Nora (Liddell) Gauthier. She was a graduate of Ludlow High School, Class of 1942. She worked at the A and P Company, the Ludlow Public Schools, H. R. Hunnting Book Distributors, and finally, as a travel agent with Gauthier Travel in Ludlow owned by her brother and sister in law, Kenny and Annette Gauthier. Eleanore is survived by four loving children: Sister Christine Lavoie of the Sisters of Saint Joseph; Eugene A. Lavoie, Jr. and his fiancee, Shelly Hoyt, Robert D. Lavoie and Charlene A. (Lavoie) Potter. She leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Joshua Potter and his wife Melissa Disorda of Brandon, Vermont; and Alyssa Potter also of Brandon Vermont, and four beautiful great grandchildren, Logan, Ella, Max and Zoe Potter of Brandon. She will also be greatly missed by her sister, Claire Coache and her husband Richard; her brother Kenneth and his wife Annette; her sister in law Helen Gauthier and her brother in law, Joseph Gauther. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, other relatives and many friends who loved her dearly. Besides her family, Eleanore's most precious gift was her beautiful voice that she shared with the Saint John the Baptist Community for over 60 years. She also sang in the Ludlow High School Alumni Choir and at countless funerals and weddings. Her voice brought joy and beauty to many, family and friends alike. Family and friends are welcome to call on Thursday, June 21st from 4-7 p.m. at Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard, MA. Eleanore's Funeral Services will be Friday morning at 8:30 from the Ratell Funeral Home with a  Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. at  St. Elizabeth Church 191 Hubbard St.  Burial will follow at Island Pond Cemetery, Center St. Ludlow. In honor of Eleanore's long wonderful life, donations may be made to the Sisters of Saint Joseph 577 Carew St. Springfield, MA 01104; The Neshobe School 17 Neshobe Circle Brandon, Vermont 05733 in the name of the Potter children or your favorite charity
