SPRINGFIELD-Frances Rita (Marcoux) Condon, 80, of Hampden Street in Indian Orchard passed away peacefully on Friday, February 1, 2019, surrounded by her family at the Jewish Nursing Home in Longmeadow after a long illness. “Nancy” as family and friends called her, was born in Lawrence, Ma. on October 13, 1938, a daughter to the late Raymond and Rita (Desrosiers) Marcoux. She was raised in Lawrence and educated in schools in Methuen and Lawrence. She met her late husband, William M. Condon and they were married and began a family. They moved to Springfield while the kids were still young, settling in the Orchard. Nancy worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant for Crescent Hill Nursing Home and also Wesson Women’s Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Catherine’s Church in Springfield. She was sadly predeceased by her son, Michael Condon in 2017. Nancy leaves her children; Ruth Camp, Anne Marie Veino, Maureen Clemens and Rosie Slater. Her eleven grandchildren, seven great grandchildrens, her beloved siblings, nieces and nephews and the extended members of the Condon and Marcoux families. Family and friends will gather to remember Nancy at the Ratell Funeral Home, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard on Thursday, February 7, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon with a Religious service at the Funeral Home at 12 p.m. Burial will immediately follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, 895 Parker St., Spfld, Ma. The family would like to thank the staff at Baystate Hospice and the Jewish Nursing Home for the care, compassion and dignity they showed Nancy and the entire family during her long illness.
