CHICOPEE- Frances A. Harrison, 83, of Blanan Drive in Chicopee passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 at Lifecare of Wilbraham. Frances or “Toots” as everyone knew her as, was born in Ludlow on December 17, 1935, a daughter to the late Henry and Frances (Kosecki) Brunelle. She was a lifelong resident of Indian Orchard. Toots attended St. Aloysius schools in her youth and graduated from Springfield Technical High School. She was a Majorette with the marching band and won numerous awards for her twirling and baton abilities. She was also a Majorette for the VFW Honor Guard in East Springfield and garnered many more awards. Toots worked for Riverbend Medical Center in Chicopee for many years before retiring. She had previously worked for Ramada Inn. Toots and her late husband, Ronald were avid plane enthusiasts. They traveled to airshows all over the world including, England, Ireland and Germany. They made many friends and always kept up the communications over the years. Her husband, Ronald passed away in 2004 and she was also predeceased by a brother, Raymond Smith. She leaves her beloved son, Ronald Harrison of Chicopee, her devoted sister, Carol Franck of Indian Orchard, her sister in law Ellen Smith of Palmer, nieces and a nephew, Douglas Franck who she was very fond of. Calling hours at the RATELL FUNERAL HOME, 200 Main St., Indian Orchard will be Monday, June 10, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Religious Service at the Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Park Cemetery, Parker St., Springfield.
