Gail Remillard, 70 of Springfield passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at Baystate Medical Center. Gail was born in Ludlow, a daughter of the late Leon and Stacia Kubicz. She grew up in the Orchard, attending Immaculate Conception Catholic School and graduated from the High School of Commerce in Springfield in 1969. Gail worked for many years as a receptionist for Convergent Solutions and also for Gold & Vanaria in Springfield. Gail was a devoted communicant of Holy Cross Church in Springfield, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and was a longtime member of the Pastoral Council. Gail was a special lady with a generous and kind heart. She had a smile that warmed her face and lit up a room. She loved her family, friends, and welcomed those that then became family. She adored and spoiled all of her grandchildren and never gave up an opportunity to brag about them. This is a tremendous loss to all those that knew her. She leaves her devoted daughter Rachael Rhodes and her husband Patrick of Ludlow and her son Michael Remillard of Springfield. Her cherished grandchildren; Michael Jr., Nathan, Ryan, Samantha and Derek. She also leaves her nieces, Kristen, Tammy, and a nephew Todd. In addition to her parents, Gail was predeceased by her siblings; Michael and Lawrence Kubicz, several uncles, aunts, and special friends. The family would like to thank Kate Fluegge, her in home PT, for always challenging her and making her feel special.

Gail's funeral will be held on TUESDAY MORNING, APRIL 13, 2021 FROM THE RATELL FUNERAL HOME AT 8:45 a.m. FOLLOWED BY A LITURGY OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL AT 10:00 a.m. IN HOLY CROSS CHURCH, 221 PLUMTREE RD., SPFLD. Burial will follow in ST. ALOYSIUS CEMETERY, 1273 BERKSHIRE AVE., INDIAN ORCHARD. Donations in Gail’s memory may be made to Holy Cross Church, 221 Plumtree Rd., Spfld,Ma. 01118.
