Jean G. (D’Amario) Auger, 85, of Pleasant Street in East Longmeadow passed away peacefully on Monday, July 20, 2021 at her home. Jean was born in Springfield on June 18, 1936, the youngest child of proud Italian immigrants, Assunto (Samuel) and Bambina (Diluzio) D’Amario. She was raised and educated in Springfield and attended local schools. Jean worked for many years at the Buxton Company in Springfield. Jean married Arthur D. Auger and they enjoyed 54 years of marriage together until his passing in 2008. Jean and Arthur lived in Springfield for most of their life before moving to East Longmeadow in 1997. In addition to Arthur, Jean was predeceased by all her siblings; John D’Amario, Wetue D’Amario and Lisa D’Amario. She leaves her many nieces and nephews including Diane D’Amario and her husband Scott of Kutztown, PA. and John A. D’Amario and his wife, Linda of Wilbraham who were her caregivers, allowing her to live independently and with quiet dignity for so many years. AT JEAN’S REQUEST A PRIVATE COMMITTAL WITH CATHOLIC RITES OF INTERMENT WILL TAKE PLACE IN ST. ALOYSIUS CEMETERY, BERKSHIRE AVE., INDIAN ORCHARD WHERE SHE WILL BE LAID TO REST ALONGSIDE HER BELOVED HUSBAND, ARTHUR.
