LUDLOW-Jeanette D. (Aliszewski) Gibb, 96, of White Street in Ludlow passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2020 at home. Jean was born in Somerville, MA. Daughter of the late Michael and Sophie (Rebeccowicz) Aliszewski. She attended local schools and graduated from Somerville High School. She worked for many years at Filene’s Department store, Boston, MA, Star Market, Rockland, MA and the PX at Camp LeJuene, NC. She and her husband, Carl T. Gibb, Jr. were active with the American Artillery Association and shooting cannons in parades and holiday functions in the Northeast. Jean was a skilled seamstress and produced many beautiful reproduction uniforms and dress from that era. She leaves her beloved husband, Carl T. Gibb Jr., Her children; Robert P. Belben and his wife Carol of Phippsburg, ME., Linda A. Belben and her longtime partner, Andrew P. Juzba of Ludlow, Norman S. Belben and his longtime partner Laurie Pellegrini of Ludlow and Robert G. Gibb and his wife, Patricia of NC., and Cynthia L. Bly of Texas, grandchildren James M. Stoffel, Jr. Barbara A. Stoffel, Cecilia Griffin, Michael C. Belben, Edward A. Belben, Jamie Gibb, James Gibb, Jennifer Crable, Alice Crable, Xena Bly Eddie Bly, great grandchildren Sophia and Henry Belben, Sophia and Olivia Griffin, as well as nieces and nephews. Jean was sadly predeceased by a son, James M. Stoffell, Sr. and her siblings; Szigismund Olson and Stella Moriarty. At Jean’s request all services will be private with interment in the Massachusetts Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Agawam at a later date.
