PALMER-Loretta May Sanders, 84, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2021. Loretta was born in St. Albans, Vermont and was the daughter of the late James and Laura (Longway) Deegan. She had resided in Palmer and Monson for many years before moving to Longmeadow last year. She worked at the Holyoke Soldiers Home in the Housekeeping department for many years and had previously worked for Mary Kay Cosmetics as a Sales Consultant. She was a former communicant of St. Michael’s Church in East Longmeadow and a member of the Dominican Ladies. Loretta was predeceased by her husband; Richard H. Sanders and several siblings; Carl and Nelson Longley and Joyce Moore. She leaves her sister; Veronica Gloster. Several nieces and nephews including; Jane Bellefleur of Palmer and Mary Enda Moran of Monson and a nephew in law, Rex Cunningham as well as several great-nieces and nephews. Loretta will be interred alongside her parents at a private interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in St. Albans, Vermont.
